Four Seasons Punta Mita - Resort Awards2008 AAA Five Diamond Resort, 8th consecutive year2006 Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report - #1 International Resort 2006 and 2008 Condé Nast Traveler - #1 Golf Resort - "Top 100 Golf Resorts" Reader's Poll The Four Seasons Residence Club Punta Mita includes several free-standing buildings within the resort, and each unit includes its own private plunge pool.  Our particular unit is a four bedroom penthouse, located on the top floor of each building, with expansive views of the Pacific Ocean.  The units include approximately 4,300 square feet of indoor/outdoor living space and accomodates eight to ten people.  I believe the breakdown is roughly 3,200 square feet indoors and 1,100 square feet of outdoor living space. Amenities include the aforementioned plunge pool, outdoor gas grill, kitchen with Subzero and Wolf appliances, two master bedroom suites that include an outdoor shower and/or bathtub, two guest bedrooms with two beds in each, plasma TV's in the living room and all bedrooms, washer/dryer, free wireless high speed internet access and more. Ownership includes four weeks of use, broken down as follows: 21 nights of "Primary-Use Time", which consists of 14 nights of "Platinum" time (January 1st - April 30th; July 1st - August 31st; November 1st - December 31st) and 7 nights of "Gold" time (May 1st - June 30th; September 1st - October 31st).  In addition, 7 nights of "Privilege" time is included.  "Privilege" time can be booked during any time of the year on a space-available basis, within 60 days at the "Home" resort and 45 days at other participating Four Seasons properties (Costa Rica, and soon including Jackson Hole, Vail and others).  I used my "Privilege" time last year to book a week at Four Seasons Costa Rica.  There is a nominal per night charge for "Privilege" time (~ $200 - $300/night depending on the size of the unit rented).  As for 2008, I have used a total of nine out of fourteen days of "Platinum" time so far this year.  I converted my remaining "Platinum" time to network credits and used them to reserve an entire week of "Gold" time from October 4th - 11th.  In addition, I used my "Gold" time to reserve a week this fall and donated it to my kid's school - this week will not be sold with the fractional (I have guests that purchased the week at a charity auction).  We have not yet used any "Privilege" time in 2008. Dues for 2008 have been paid in full and will be pro-rated accordingly based on the number of days left.  Current reservations for 2009 include President's Week (2/14/2009 - 2/21/2009), Spring Break (3/29/2009 - 4/5/2009), and Labor Day (9/5/2009 - 9/12/2009).  Changes can obviously be made to these reservations on a space-available basis.  In addition, one week of "Privilege" time is also available for 2009, and is booked 60 days in advance.
